Northern Ireland cosmetics boss gets backing of Irish Dragons duo
A Co Down cosmetics entrepreneur who started his working life in a fish factory has been backed by big investors in RTE’s version of Dragon’s Den.
Annalong man Brendan McDowell, the brains behind leading cosmetics company BPerfect, won over two of the Irish show’s ‘dragons’ — engineer Barry O’Sullivan and food company boss Alison Cowzer.
Unfortunately, the Co Down businessman wasn’t lucky enough to win the support of Chanelle McCoy — wife of Co Antrim former champion jockey Tony McCoy, and a fashion boutique owner.
But Brendan was delighted. He tweeted: “And we have a done deal. Couldn’t be happier.”
