Obama pushes for delay to cuts

Temporary spending cuts and increased tax revenue measures should be brought in, President Barack Obama has said.

He is pushing for another short-term solution to the budget battles that still threaten the US economy. The president is asking Congress to delay automatic across-the-board cuts earmarked for March 1.
