Oliver Hemsley to step down as Numis CEO after 25 years
The founder and chief executive of stockbroker Numis, Oliver Hemsley, is to step down after 25 years at the helm.
Mr Hemsley will be succeeded by Alex Ham and Ross Mitchinson as joint chief executive officers.
He said: "After over 25 years at the helm, it is time to allow the next generation to drive Numis forward.
"The business is in really good health having just reported excellent half-year results and is well positioned to grow in the future.
"I intend to play a full part in helping to develop the business further."
Mr Hemsley will remain on the board as an executive director.
Alongside the announcement, Numis reported a 41% rise in pre-tax profits to £16.8 million for the first half of the year and revenue came in at £56.8 million.
