Online ingenuity puts Taggled into spotlight
A firm from Northern Ireland company has been picked to demonstrate its revolutionary technology at one of the industry's top European events.
Taggled will appear at The Next Web (TNW) Europe Conference 2014 in Amsterdam in April, a gathering of 2,500 influential innovators, senior executives and venture capitalists.
Just 70 startups will be selected to participate and Taggled is the only Northern Irish startup among the first tranche of 15 already announced.
Its technology enables online content creators to insert interactive tags into video to highlight people, products, places and even music. The tags also allow video creators to direct viewers to shopping carts where they can purchase featured products or content, as well as to the websites and social feeds of people appearing in the video.
Taggled CEO Ian Scott said: "Our aim as a company is to revolutionise the internet by making video interactive and driving new product sales, so it's a huge boost for us to be able to present our technology at such a major event."
