Online insurance firm MCL is to create 20 full-time jobs at its Co Londonderry headquarters.

The firm, which is now operating exclusively online, said the new roles were a response to the growth of its brands 25+, and BoxyMo, aimed at young drivers.

The new intake will bring the company's workforce to 92.

A spokesman said MCL Insurance Services had doubled sales and now had more than 80,000 policy-holders across Northern Ireland and the Republic.

And the company has launched a new online chat facility for speaking to customers, designed by sister company Dotsys Ltd - which MCL managing director Gary McClarty said had been "key" to its recent success.
