Paradox strikes oil in the Middle East
A Belfast-based health supplement company could be on its way to securing a substantial slice of the burgeoning £50bn Arab healthcare industry.
Paradox Omega Oils announced a series of deals in the increasingly health-conscious Middle East following recent international trade events.
Paradox, which was founded in 2007 by Michele Hayhurst and her osteopath husband Dr Geoff Hayhurst, specialises in the development of omega oil supplements which promote the health of cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems.
The company announced the new business, which could provide a substantial increase in turnover in the next two years, ahead of its participation with Invest NI in Arab Health, a healthcare exhibition in Dubai.
The event could expose the company to a healthcare industry worth an estimated $80bn - just under £50bn annually.
The contracts will help the company to establish a strong presence in key markets in the UAE, Qatar and Jordan.
