Pepsi plant bottle war gets fizz-ical
Pepsi has unveiled its latest weapon in its corporate war with Coca-Cola - a bottle made entirely of plant material. It claims it beats the technology of its rival and reduces its carbon footprint. The bottle is made from switch grass, pine bark and corn husks. Pepsi plans to also use orange peel, oat husks, potato scraps from its food business. Coca-Cola makes a bottle using 3% plant-based material.
