Phoenix land deal for Asahi in Northern Ireland

Phoenix Premium Drinks has secured the exclusive distribution rights in the province for Japan’s number one beer Asahi and the award winning Sam Adams beer range from America.

Phoenix was launched at the end of last year by local drinks industry veteran Niall McMullan to capitalise on the growing premium drinks market and will offer a full range of world class beers to the Northern Ireland market.

“Having seen at first hand the demand for authentic quality brands that can expand the consumer repertoire, I felt the time was right for introducing a new style drinks business” said Mr McMullan.

“Northern Ireland is currently enjoying a cultural renaissance and with the MTV EMA’s putting us firmly in the international spotlight recently. With the promise of a year’s titanic celebrations ahead, Northern Ireland has much to celebrate and I’m excited about working with the trade here to maximise the opportunities that these exciting times present,” he added.

Phoenix has already a number of account wins under its belt, including the award winning Deane’s restaurant, the first outlet in Northern Ireland to offer Asahi on draught.
