A husband and wife team in Co Down have announced a deal to stock their handmade granola with an online store in Taiwan.

Just Live A Little in Portaferry is now supplying the granolas to Morningshop in Taipei, an online business specialising in breakfast products.

The new business resulted from Just Live A Little's listing with luxury online grocer Ocado, according to David Crawford, who runs the small business with wife Jill in Portaferry. "We were approached by the Taiwan business which had seen our products on Ocado. We jumped at the chance to sell in Taiwan, a new market for us in Asia," he said.

"We already supply breakfast cereals to Hong Kong and other markets there. Our first consignment is now on its way to Taiwan.

"Morningshop's focus on breakfast products makes it an ideal platform for growth in this new and important marketplace.

"As well as its Taiwan business, Morningshop also delivers products to customers in other neighbouring markets," he added.

Morningshop is among the most popular online shopping sites in Taiwan.

The couple formed Just Live A Little in their farmhouse kitchen in 2012. The granolas are mixed by hand and slow baked.
