Q Radio adds Citybeat to its stable of channels
Belfast radio station Citybeat has been bought over by regional broadcasters Q Radio Network.
It was sold by former owners CN Group, based in Carlisle. The group also owns a number of publications and operates a printing company.
The value of the sale was not revealed.
The new deal gives the Q Radio Network its first presence in Belfast.
It currently operates a total of six radio stations across Northern Ireland.
That includes Londonderry, Coleraine, Ballymena and Newry as well as stations covering Mid Ulster and Omagh.
The company is owned by the Irish News.
