Randox targets US market with new $7m facility
County Antrim based diagnostics company Randox Laboratories is expanding in the American market with the opening of its US headquarters.
Opening a $7m facility in Kearneysville, West Virginia yesterday is seen as a major strategic expansion for the company.
It will create 130 jobs within the next two years.
At the opening ceremony state governor Joe Manchin III said: "West Virginia works in partnership with industries here at home and around the world to develop successful relationships and create sustainable jobs. I am confident that West Virginia has the people, skills and infrastructure that will enable Randox to prosper in the United States."
Randox MD Dr Peter Fitzgerald said: "The United States offers great opportunities for Randox and we are very much looking forward to developing our operations here. We are now actively recruiting sales, marketing and technical support staff and are also seeking high-grade life scientists to complement our cutting edge research and development."
