Pancakes are high up on the menu today for Yahi in Belfast city centre's Great Northern Mall.

The cafe said it's got a total of 14 breakfast products - all from local suppliers - on their menu.

But the pancake will take pride of place on the menu today.

The cafe opened just 10 months ago and has invested over £100,000 on supporting local suppliers so far. Suppliers include Clandeboye Natural Yogurt, Sloan's dry cure bacon from Kilrea, Ballygarvey eggs, White's organic oats, Warrenpoint honey and Keen Nut butters, alongside Clontakilty's famous black pudding and Ballymaloe Relish from the south of Ireland.

Owner Amanda Stewart said: "From the initial stages of the Yahi concept, we have always known that local would be important to us.

"Customers are much more aware of how great ingredients from Northern Ireland's producers can be, so they should be able to get the same local quality from their lunches on the go as they would with a sit-down restaurant meal," she added.
