Work has begun on 126 new social homes in Co Down as part of a multi-milion pound investment.

Housing Minister Paul Givan MLA visited two sites in Holywood and Bangor.

The Bangor development will see 106 new homes built by Choice Housing, valued at more than £13m.

Meanwhile Helm Housing will deliver a £1.6m scheme featuring 20 new apartments for the elderly in Holywood.

"It is a great pleasure to be in North Down to see the work under way to deliver vital social housing in this area," Mr Givan said.
