A Northern Ireland insurance firm has created 20 new jobs.

MCL Insurance Services offers customers online insurance protection across Northern Ireland and the Republic.

It's spending £100,000 in the firm's IT and telecoms infrastructure, and is adding the new jobs to its Coleraine office.

It says the expansion is down to the growth of its brands, including BoxyMo.ie, Its4Women.ie and 25+.

The new posts - which are in outbound sales and online chat - will bring the total workforce to 130 staff.

Gary McClarty, managing director, said: "The 20 new positions will help improve our already excellent customer service offering, with growth across our online chat and call handling teams.

"I'm delighted to welcome 20 new people to our grade A offices in Coleraine.

"MCL Insurance handles more than 85,000 policies across Ireland and I look forward to our new colleagues contributing to continued growth in the coming 12 months.

"We're always looking for ways to improve customers' experiences and upgrades to our IT and telephone systems will help our customers save time and money when they insure with us."
