Sweet lessons learnt as fudge deal wrapped up
A packaging company and fudge firm have learned some sweet lessons from each other after teaming up on a business programme.
Chesapeake Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Packaging and Eleanor Craig’s Fudge were linked through Business in the Community’s Connections programme, which matches bigger businesses with smaller ones to share knowledge and experience.
Eleanor Craig’s Fudge owner Kristina Loughride said the firm, which makes fudge from a family recipe, was eager to keep moving |the business forward and developing it.
“Our packaging was a particular challenge. The existing packaging was time consuming and didn’t really do the product justice,” she said.
Chesapeake helped redesign the packaging and presented Ms Loughridge with a batch of boxes as a gift.
Chesapeake general manager Chris Dears said: “It was our privilege to provide mentoring support. It is nice to see a young business being given the opportunity to develop and we are happy to have played our part.”
