Antrim fit-out firm Marcon is ‘lovin’ it’ after winning even more work with global fast-food firm McDonald’s, enabling it to take on 15 new staff.

The firm was awarded the additional work after winning a UK Supplier of the Year Award from McDonald’s in recognition of its work over the last year.

The award, presented at McDonald’s annual conference in Portugal, means Marcon came out top of McDonald’s’ sprawling supply chain across the UK.

Marcon will be carrying out additional work for McDonald’s over the next three years.  And it will be opening a new regional office in Sheffield.  Marcon has worked with McDonald’s since 2008 on 250 projects from Greenock in Scotland to Southampton and Omagh to King’s Lynn. Matthew Midwood, head of construction at McDonald’s UK, said: “We are committed to maintaining supplier relationships and have a long established partnership with Marcon which has helped to transform our restaurants across the UK, through reimages, extensions, and refurbishments.”

Marcon currently employs around 55 people and is based at Kilbegs Road in Antrim.
