A granola maker in Co Londonderry is on its way to cereal success after winning its first business outside the UK and Ireland.

Tamnagh Foods in Dungiven has won a contract to supply its handcrafted maple nut and fruit and honey nut and seeds granolas to Globus in Zurich,

The granolas will be stocked by Globus Delicatessa, the delicatessens in the company's 14 department stores across Switzerland. Globus is owned by Migros, Switzerland's biggest retailer.

Tamnagh also won a deal to supply Harrods with its granolas earlier this year - its first contract in Great Britain.

Kevin Hickey, who owns Tamnagh Foods with wife Julie, said: "It's immensely encouraging to have Globus in our rapidly growing list of customers. It's also our first business breakthrough in Europe and is a marvellous endorsement of our granolas, which have also won UK Great Taste Awards for outstanding taste and premium quality."

Their granolas also won gold and silver medals in last year's Irish National Food Awards in Dingle.
