Trailer firm wins contract to supply haulage fleet

A Trailer company in Antrim has secured a major contract with a transport and logistics firm.

SDC Trailers is to deliver 300 curtainsider trailers to the Stobart Group, in the latest deal in a long-running relationship between the two firms.

William Stobart, chief operating officer of the Stobart Group, said: “I’m delighted to announce this deal with SDC. They are the largest supplier to our trailer fleet, and have been for the last five years.

“SDC products have always served us well, and we look forward to working with them in the coming months.”

Mark Cuskeran, managing director of SDC Trailers, said: “To date, we have built over 2,000 trailers for Stobart.

“I think this deal is a clear reflection of our ability to meet their needs, and work to their specific requirements. It is a welcome addition to our trailer production.”

SDC is one of the largest trailer manufacturers in the UK and Ireland.

The trailers are to be built over a period of 10 months, and have |been developed to meet the Stobart Group’s specification and criteria by SDC’s chief design engineer, Tony Sturgess.
