The Twilight Market makes a return to St George's Market tonight and tomorrow.

The two-night event will feature a selection of pop-up restaurants, chef demonstrations, Northern Ireland food producers and live music and DJs.

Councillor Deirdre Hargey, chairman of the council's city growth and regeneration committee, said the market aimed to show off the city's food offering and provide a fun evening out.

The first took place in November last year.

"To say that it exceeded our wildest expectations would be an understatement," she said.

"It was a huge success, with massive crowds on the evening, and a terrific atmosphere for the punters as well as the traders.

"Some traders reported their best evening's trading all year, with many selling out before the event finished.  And the one question on their lips was 'when can we do it again'?

"Which is why we have decided to do two more Twilight events this year, both spread over two days."

The first Twilight Market ran last November and was shortlisted for a Northern Ireland Tourism award. The Twilight Market opens today from 5pm to 11pm and tomorrow from 12pm to 11pm.
