Tyrone cheese in hampers

Top British retailers are including cheese from an Ulster producer in their festive hampers.

Harrods and John Lewis Christmas hampers will this year feature hand-crafted cheese from Fivemiletown Creamery in Co Tyrone.

The company is the only Northern Ireland food producer to be selected by the London stores for their annual gift hampers.

Fivemiletown Creamery’s bries and oak smoked cheddar feature in two hampers being sold by Harrods — the £550 Regent and £225 Montpelier.

The cheese is also in the John Lewis £800 hamper which includes Perrier-Jouet Champagne, Courvoisier Cognac and Loch Fyne classic smoked salmon.

Fivemiletown products are also included in the ‘cheese lover’s hamper’ from Peckham’s, an independent specialist food and drink merchant in Scotland.
