Vodafone has confirmed that it is seeking 100 voluntary redundancies at its Dublin headquarters.
The company says the job cuts are part of an internal review being carried out in response to the increasingly competitive mobile phone market in Ireland.
Vodafone currently employs about 1,800 people at its Irish operations.
It says talks are ongoing with workers' unions and final details on the job losses will be made known in late February.
