When emails hit sour note...

Published 26/05/2009

The speed with which things happen on the internet never fails to impress.

But by the same token, it’s all too easy to push the send button on an e-mail before the content has been finalised.

A case in point was the Aer Lingus Press release which winged its way to the media this week.

The PR blurb was all about the number of bookings the airline had taken for its Belfast route and the subject box read: “Aer Lingus — one million and souring.”

The only blessing is that Michael O’Leary didn’t get a copy.
