Wine company seals deal with Oz giant

A LISBURN-based wine company has secured an exclusive contract to distribute one of Australia's best-known wines, Penfolds.

Woodford Bourne NI will dispense the iconic brand, with its everyday drinking Koonunga Hill and Rawson's Retreat as well as its luxury lines, The Grange and Bin Series, to independent off licences and trade outlets throughout Northern Ireland.

Managing director Gareth Bradley (left) said he is delighted to be working with the iconic brand.

"We will be working closely with the brand to strengthen its position in Northern Ireland and I am confident it will go down very successfully with wine lovers right across the province," he said.

"Penfolds has a rich Australian heritage and enjoys a strong international following from wine collectors to wine writers and winning this contract is another step in the right direction for Woodford Bourne becoming the wine supplier of choice in Northern Ireland."

Woodford Bourne NI, part of Robert Roberts, distributes a number of other wine brands including Torres, Deakin Estate, MASI, Chapoutier, Cono Sur, Mumm champagne and J Moreau & Fils.
