Dog stockings catnip for the pet shop boys

The past barrage of Christmas results from the retailers may have made difficult reading for some, but they have also provided an insight into the habits of the population.

Take Pets At Home, a title which you'd like to think didn't tax the creative types too much when they started the company.

Running against the flow of results, the pet food and products chain managed to produce some stonking results, helped by shifting more than 300,000 Christmas stockings and the like for dogs. Yes, dogs.

Not only that but they sold 100,000 advent calendars for cats which contained milk and catnip goodies.

Total madness to me but it does give me an idea for next year. What about a business section for dogs?
