Quantum leap creates 37 jobs for Dimplex

While the manufacturing sector may be reporting difficult times there are exceptions.

Glen Dimplex has made a breakthrough in how heat is stored with its Quantum Energy System – a storage heater which can be controlled in a more efficient way than previous systems. The development will create 37 new jobs, and maybe a total of 200 in the next few years, although maybe not the so-called 'high productivity' roles which are so cherished.

Nevertheless, in this environment jobs are jobs and should be welcomed with the hope that such innovation from companies like Glen Dimplex, which are noted exporters, continues.
