Sony seeks ultimate gamer to choose PS Vita intern

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today announced a search for the ultimate ‘gamer-on-the-go’ in Ireland.

The role, officially titled ‘Chief Portable Entertainment Efficacy Director’ will be a dream role for anyone who loves racking up gaming high scores from first thing in the morning, during the daily commute, all through their lunch break, to last thing in bed at night.

The role is part of a forthcoming initiative by PlayStation to offer an internship at Swedish studio Tarsier, the design team behind upcoming PlayStation Vita title, LittleBigPlanet PlayStation Vita.

In the coming months, PlayStation will announce details of its search for this intern, a contest that will see entrants design minigames using the functionality of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita.

First though, PlayStation is looking to recruit someone passionate enough about portable gaming to take on the task of judging entries from the famously ultra-productive LittleBigPlanet community.

To enter, would-be judges should head to,fill in a few details and let PlayStation know why they deserve to win.

Once chosen, PlayStation will invite the winning candidate to PlayStation’s Dublin HQ and kit the winner out with their latest portable console, PS Vita so they can get to ‘work’ playing through the entries and advising the development team on which they think is worthy of an internship to further develop and polish the mini-game at Tarsier.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is due for release later this year, marking the return of Sackboy, one of PlayStation’s most iconic characters. To keep up with all the latest news on this brand new title and the LittleBigPlanet internship log onto
