The Belfast-based pub company now owns 13 premises in the city including two hotels and two off-licences.

The company’s outlets include the Apartment, Northern Whig, McHugh’s and the Botanic Inn.

Over the years it has built a strong reputation in the area of staff development and in 2006 it won the People Development Award at the Belfast Business Awards.

During 2005 the company undertook a substantial refurbishment programme, with seven outlets getting a facelift.

The most significant of these were The Globe, the Northern Whig and the Botanic Inn.

In 2007 it has begun a strategy of buying bars outside Belfast.
