IT has been a record year for the retailing group with turnover increasing by 16% and pre-tax profit up by 3%. Henderson Wholesale, part of the group, holds the franchise for Spar, Vivo and VG in Northern Ireland and provides a marketing, advisory and distribution service to over 400 retailers. Other divisions include Henderson Foodservice, which services the catering trade, and Henderson Retail, which owns and operates 54 supermarkets, neighbourhood and forecourt stores with larger stores being opened under the Eurospar and VivoXtra symbols, while Henderson Group Property owns retail property mainly leased to the retail arm.
