BT is a global provider of communications solutions and IT services.

In Northern Ireland, the company serves consumers, businesses, public sector organisations and other communications companies, offering a portfolio of services ranging from broadband and TV, to training, hosting, security, Cloud services and managed networked IT services.

BT has also created centres of excellence in Northern Ireland, including the Belfast-based Global Development Centre.

The company remains the largest private sector investor in telecommunications here.

It has made significant direct and indirect investments in the province, including a £31m investment in DETI’s Next Generation Broadband Project.

BT became the first commercial partner of Derry-Londonderry UK City of Culture 2013, is the official communications services partner of the London 2012 Games, and is the organiser of the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition.
