United Dairy Farmers is a leading UK dairy cooperative owned by 2,000 farmers. It also owns Dale Farm, Northern Ireland’s biggest dairy processor.

There are five Dale Farm manufacturing locations in Northern Ireland, Scotland and England, producing and distributing a wide range of dairy products sold across the UK and Ireland and exported to 45 countries.

In its financial year ending March 31 2010 the group delivered a sound financial performance driven by record Dale Farm consumer and ingredients sales and the benefit of taking full ownership of United Feeds.

Dale Farm maintained its local market leadership in fresh milk, ice cream, yogurts and butter products and increased its Dromona cheese sales turnover by 30%.

Capital investment increased to £7.9m with the group completing the first phase of a major £39m programme supported by Invest NI with the official opening of new cheese and whey processing facilities at Dunmanbridge, near Cookstownin March last year.
