Citi is a leading global financial services company. The company established a presence in Belfast in 2005 to support its capital markets trading activities in London, Europe and New York. It now employs almost 800 staff in four areas: capital markets trade settlement and reconciliation, trading systems development and support, technology infrastructure design and support, and a broad range of legal and compliance functions supporting both front office and external clients.

Citi has plans to expand in Belfast and is the main tenant in the new Gateway Building in Titanic Quarter, which opened in late 2009.
