Musgrave Group in Northern Ireland is made up of: 1: Musgrave Retail Partners (MRPNI), which through its operation of the SuperValu, Centra and Mace franchises in Northern Ireland, provides a full spectrum of support services to over 300 independently owned and operated supermarkets in the province; and 2: Musgrave Wholesale Partners (MWPNI), which supplies independent retail and foodservice outlets through its Marketplace cash and carry stores, as well as supporting the Day to Day retail fascia.
In 2010, MRPNI increased profit after tax by more than 100% on the previous year, and underlying operating profit by over 70%.
Musgrave’s Northern Ireland operation is part of a larger group that supports more than 3,400 stores with over 55,000 employees of these stores had a collective retail turnover of over £5. bn in 2010, with group profit in excess of £60m for that year.
