Fujitsu UK and Ireland is a leading IT systems, services and products company employing 14,000 people with annual revenues of £2bn. Its business includes consulting, applications, systems integration, managed services and product for customers in the private and public sectors.

Fujitsu is one of Northern Ireland’s most established IT Services companies and employs approximately 700 people in both in Belfast and Derry. In 2007 Fujitsu announced an £18m investment in a new managed IT services centre, to which Invest NI contributed £5.7m.

Recent investments have included the establishment of an Applications Services Centre of Excellence at Timber Quay in Derry as well as expansion of its Centre for Excellence for Oracle in Belfast.

Workers last year took strike action over plans to change pension rights and cut 1,200 jobs but the company eventually reached agreement with workers’ unions.
