Tough economic times times have spurred the Donnelly Motor Group to seize some great opportunities in the motor sector.

The group has spread their wings further by taking on another four global vehicle brands in 2011, taking the total offer to 17 manufacturers. The company has continued to grow and add employment through these challenging times and are shortly opening eight new showrooms and recruiting a further 40 staff, bringing the workforce to a total of 570.

With branches in Dungannon, Belfast, Eglinton, Enniskillen, Ballymena and Mallusk, the group now turns over in excess of £202m.

The company was formed nearly 70 years ago by brothers Peter and James Donnelly.

In its early days the firm was a vehicle repair centre and tax service based in the village of Caledon on the Tyrone-Armagh border, but moved to Armagh in the late 1950s when it got its first franchise for Austin Motors.
