The company has been making forklifts in Craigavon since 1981, branded under the names Hyster and Yale. Current production levels are around 9,000 forklifts annually.

The American-owned company is the source for engine-powered products in the 1.6-5.5 tonne capacity range and battery powered product in the 1.0-3.5 tonne capacity range.

The main markets for the Craigavon produced products are Europe, Middle East and Africa, with around 5% of the output destined for the Asia Pacific and Americas theatres.

The plant is the largest of three NACCO Materials Handling Group plants in Europe.
