Established more than 150 years ago, Howden has grown to become a worldwide organisation with nearly 3,800 employees and companies in 17 countries.

In Belfast, Howden UK manufacture gas and air handling equipment including centrifugal fans, axial fans and rotary heat exchangers.

The company was originally an engineering firm trading as Sirocco Works or Davidsonsbefore becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Charter International, the parent company of the Howden Group of companies, which is headquartered in Dublin and listed on the London Stock Exchange.
