Established in 1981, the Belfast-based company is the parent for a number of the business activities in Northern Ireland controlled by Lord Rana, mainly around property development, tourism and hospitality.
Lord Rana’s interests include the Belfast Plaza Hotel, Days Hotel and the Ramada Hotel.
In the past year the company unveiled two Ibis branded hotels in Belfast, one in King Street and the other in University Street. The hotels – carrying the international chain’s name but managed by Andras House - represent a £12m boost to the hospitality industry and will provide 170 beds and 50 jobs. The deal is also the first time Ibis has franchised outlets in the UK.
