Ards Holdings is the parent company for the well established construction company, Gilbert Ash, and the financial results are heavily influenced by the trading performance of the subsidiary.

Among the company’s high profile past contracts were the Waterfront Hall, the Odyssey complex, Victoria Square shopping centre, the regeneration of the Ulster Hospital and the Lyric Theatre. It also operates outside Northern Ireland, and has satellite office in Peterborough in England. The firm recently won a contract for a 97 bedroom hotel and three-storey retail store as part of a £35m project on Edinburgh’s Princes Street. An associated company Gilbert-Ash Fitout Ltd, is responsible for smaller building projects including maintenance, refurbishment and shopfitting. It has also carried out numerous contracts in Europe, Asia and further afield.
