DCC Energy is a subsidiary of DCC plc, a procurement and business support services group headquartered in Dublin. DCC plc is a marketer and distributor of LPG and oil products in both the UK and Ireland.

In Belfast, DCC Energy operates marine terminals for its Northern Ireland energy operations, trading under two main brands – Emo and Flogas. In 2008, it consolidated its oil portfolio to a single brand Emo.

DCC is one of the largest oil distributors in Great Britain and Northern Ireland with a market share of around 12% including transport fuels and 20% respectively, while in the Republic DCC Energy has approximately 10% of the market.

DCC Energy underwent rapid expansion in 2008 with the acquisition of a boiler servicing division, the appointment as the authorised distributors for Castrol in NI; and in December 2008, the acquisition of the contracted businesses of ConocoPhillips in NI.
