Seat Arona offers hot cross fun with UK autumn sales
The Renault Captur gained another rival this week when Seat showed off its new Arona.
The compact crossover joins the mid-sized Ateca in the brand's SUV range. A larger SUV is expected to follow shortly.
The Arona was unveiled to journalists in Barcelona ahead of its first public appearance at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September.
It is expected to cost from around the £15,000 mark when UK sales begin in late autumn.
Seat says the car has better height and width than many rivals. It will also be the brand's most advanced in terms of technology and safety.
Manufactured exclusively in Martorell, Spain, the Arona is Seat's third big release so far this year, following on from the new Ibiza and Ateca.
The Arona comes with an array of driving assistance and infotainment systems, including Front Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Hill Hold Control, Tiredness Recognition System and Multi-Collision Braking.
It also offers an optional Rear Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection and Park Assistance System.
