Jonathan Aiken's 'Wings And Prayers' which features in the exhibition

Sixty new works of art have been commissioned and created exclusively for Lisburn Road’s Gormley’s Fine Art to celebrate 21 years in the art business.

Gormley’s Fine Art 21st Anniversary exhibition, which takes place from February 25 to March 11, will showcase the work of artists such as Jonathan Aiken, Michael Smyth, Carol Ann Waldron, Paul Donaghy, Verner Finlay, Lorcan Vallely, Barry Kerr and Rowland Davidson.

“The exhibition presents an opportunity to thank long-standing customers for their support over the years,” said a gallery spokesperson.

There is a grim irony in DUP and Sinn Fein politicians warning about the dangers of sectarianism but Jonathan Bell and Martina Anderson were correct in saying that bigotry isn't just a working-class thing: "Many communities may not paint their kerb stones or put out flags, but scratch the surface and you find the prejudice and the hate whispered behind closed doors or joked about in golf clubs or over dinner parties."
