‘Queer’ arts festival

The best in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) arts and culture will be on offer during November as part of the second ever OUTBURST Queer Arts Festival.

Taking place from November 13 to 22, OUTBURST will be hosting 19 individual events and workshops in venues across Belfast.

This year’s programme includes author Denis Kehoe reading from his critically acclaimed debut novel Nights Beneath the Nation, and a performance by the TheatreofplucK Theatre company of the 1947 Raymond Queneau novella We Always Treat Women Too Well!

“This year’s festival has a special focus on queer stories from the past, with events and projects that look at how we creatively preserve our histories as LGBT people for future generations,” explained an OUTBURST spokesperson.
