Country legend coming to town

American country legend Charley Pride has confirmed he will be playing a Belfast concert as part of a tour of the province.
The Mississippi man, who is second in sales only to Elvis Presley on RCA Records, will be performing at the Waterfront Hall on November 2.
He will also be playing shows at the Millennium Forum in Londonderry on November 5 and Omagh Leisure Centre in Omagh on November 7.
He has had 36 number one hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.
Tickets are £35 for the Belfast show.
R ‘N’ B superstar Beyoncé has confirmed the date for her November show in Belfast.
The American songstress will be performing at the Odyssey Arena on November 24.
She played sold-out shows in Dublin and Belfast in May and June — two at the Odyssey Arena and four at The O2.
Knowles has sold more than 75 million albums throughout her career, counting her album sales with Destiny's Child.
Tickets are £56.50 and £51.50.
This week’s CountryFest artist is Charlie Allen, who spoke to The CT.
The festival takes place at the King’s Hall on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2.
Charlie, who started singing when he was just seven-years-old, said he was excited about playing at the festival.
“I am really looking forward to it — we are going to put on a great show,” he said.
“I have never been to Belfast before but I am really looking forward to it.
“I love playing live and you can’t get a better feeling than doing it.
“It’s great to be playing in these different venues and meeting new people.”
Speaking about his early influences, he said: “When I was younger I loved listening to the likes of Ray Price, Hank Williams and Willy Nelson.”
Charlie has shared the stage with the likes of Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Ray Price and Dolly Parton.
Tickets for CountryFest are priced at £40 for one day or £75 for a weekend pass.
Fans of English artist Jon Allen will be pleased to hear that he has announced a stop-off in Belfast as part of his UK tour.
He will be performing along with a support act at Auntie Annie’s Porterhouse on Sunday, July 5.
He has had a successful career to date. His growing popularity has led him to appear on Jools Holland and to support the likes of Damien Rice, KT Tunstall, Jose Gonzalez and many more.
His new album, Dead Man’s Suit, was released at the beginning of June.
Tickets are priced at £6.50.
Indie rock quartet DeVotchKa have confirmed a gig date in Belfast to make their Northern Irish debut at the start of August during their European tour.
They are to play at Spring and Airbrake on Sunday, August 9.
This Colorado-born quartet created the soundtrack to the Academy-nominated and Oscar-winning film Little Miss Sunshine.
They have quickly become one of the most unique and successful bands in the US.
Their enchanting music has been praised by both the public and critics alike.
Tickets are priced at £11.
Those who love classic rock ‘n' roll will adore The Quireboys who will be coming to Belfast as part of their UK tour this December.
The English band have announced that they are to play at Spring & Airbrake on Friday, December 4.
Their hard rock ‘n' roll music has proved successful in both the US and in the UK due to their hit debut album, A Bit of What You Fancy, which reached number two in the UK charts.
Tickets are priced at £16.
Enter Shikari will return to Northern Ireland in October in support of their new album Common Dreads.
The band will be playing their third headline show at the Mandela Hall on Friday, October 2.
The English four-piece have wowed audiences on previous visits with their unique take on the rock/dance crossover genre.
Their first album, Take To The Skies, peaked at number four in the UK in 2007 and Common Dreads entered the UK Top 20 on its first week of release.
This will be an early show with doors at 6pm. Tickets are £20.50.
