Santa comes calling
Tuesday, 16 December 2008
The Mayor of Castlereagh, Councillor Ann-Marie Beattie, will welcome a very special visitor to the Lock Keeper’s Cottage at Shaw’s Bridge when Santa Claus makes a surprise call on Saturday (December 20).
Children can visit Santa in his rustic grotto in the heart of the historic cottage from 11am-3pm where they can chat to Santa and enjoy a unique gift of two tickets to Dundonald International Ice Bowl for 10 pin bowling, ice skating or Indiana Land playworld.
The whole family can follow their visit with a warm lunch in the new visitors’ centre before taking in the historic interpretation facilities.
The entrance fee for Santa is £5 per person (includes gift) and tickets can be purchased on the day. Proceeds will be donated to the mayor’s charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.
