Butch baking in Belfast by by Ani and LuLu’s cupcakery

In time for Father's day the usually dainty desserts have been transformed into a new macho alternative. The ‘Rambo' is a chocolate and beer infused cupcake with a salted pretzel topping. The Rambo (below) is even available with an optional moustache topper for an extra butch experience. Ani & Lulu's was created after Anisa had spent a summer in New York being tantalised by the cupcakes unlike anything at home. She now makes real American-style cupcakes with Wonka-inspired flavours. Visit www.aniand lulus.com.

The Rambo butchcake is available for a limited period. To order contact hello@aniandlulus.com or 07812086081/07866100240

The West is horrified by children's slaughter now. Soon we'll forget

Bashar al-Assad will get away with it. He got away with Deraa. He got away with Homs. And he'll get away with Houla. So will the armed opposition to the regime, along with al-Qa'ida and any other outfits joining in Syria's tragedy.

Why my kids feel Olympics are not the real thing now

PR machine is driving Sinn Fein power push

Sinn Fein's ard fheis opens in Killarney tomorrow. Like most conferences held by successful political parties, it is a well-managed set-piece. It is a PR event and it is aimed at the voters watching on TV.
