Wine of the week
Le Froglet
Wednesday, 14 January 2009
Le Froglet is a ripe, rich, smooth red wine. You can expect gorgeous flavours of chocolate and blackcurrent, with subtle, warming, spicy depths and a soft drink.
This wine should be served at room temperature, with the great thing being that it’s soft and smooth enough to be enjoyed on its own.
It will also complement many dishes including pasta and tomato sauces, veggie or meat chillis, or save it for the Sunday roast.
Ensure to open this wine soon after purchase as it is meant to be enjoyed within three months. Once opened, finish in two or three days and keep the bottle sealed between servings.
The fruit comes from the warm Languedoc region of southern France.
