'Dream' job among pastor's duties

THE former senior pastor of Portadown Elim has been appointed associate pastor at Jordanstown Christian Centre.

Johnny Brown will be working alongside Dr Cecil Stewart OBE, the well-known missionary, evangelist, businessman and broadcaster. Pastor Johnny and his wife Emma say they "can't wait to get started in Jordanstown".

The church is holding a celebration event for the family at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown on Saturday, September 7.

Part of the new pastor's job will involve working at the Dream Centre based at the Edenmore Complex, 646 Shore Road, Whiteabbey. Dream Centre has been supporting young people struggling with anxiety, depression and suicidal tendencies since its launch two years ago by Texan Julie Ochterbeck.
