Dominic Kirwan, one of Ireland's best and most popular concert performers, embarks on a nationwide concert tour with his excellent band to coincide with the release of his new album.
Dominic has built up a very loyal following in Ireland and the UK as a consequence of his dynamic stage shows. His show creates a wonderful atmosphere amongst his audience and everybody leaves wanting to return to his next concert show.
Dominic features songs from his many albums and also many standard hits in a concert show that features country music and pop. Special guests: Colm Kirwan and Elaine Boyle
For tickets or more information telephone 90848287.
Courtyard Theatre, Newtownabbey. Saturday, October 3. An Evening with Gerry Anderson and guest Ben Sands.
For the first time ever, these two disparate talents will join forces for a night of entertainment of an unusual nature.
Gerry Anderson will read extracts from his latest book about the showband business Heads.
He will occasionally stray off the subject to tell stories that aren't true about Ben Sands, an Irish singer songwriter and member of the famous Sands family.
Ben in turn will attempt to sing some of his many wonderful songs if he succeeds in managing to get Anderson to shut up.
Come and see a giant battle between two egos. You won't see anything like this again.
For tickets or more information telephone 90848287.
Community groups, schools, pubs and ordinary people in north Belfast and Newtownabbey are encouraged to take part in Oxjam.
Oxjam is a festival with a difference: thousands of music events are put on by ordinary people — from schools to clubs, front rooms to pubs — making it the biggest line-up of any music festival in the country.
All money raised will go help Oxfam’s work fighting poverty in eastern and southern Africa, including helping poor people to cope with the devastating effects of climate change.
For more information go to www.oxfamireland.org/oxjam .
