Man assaulted by masked gang

Police in Bangor are investigating after a gang of balaclava clad men broke into a house in the Clandeboye Way area on Monday night, October 22, and assaulted a 24 year old man.

The incident took place just before 10.30pm. The householder was attacked with bats and sticks before the assailants left heading in the direction of Kilcooley.

The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which include a suspected fracture of his arm.

A motive for the attack has yet to be established.
