Assisi captures award
Tuesday, 19 February 2008
Assisi Animal Sanctuary, Conlig, is one of the lucky recipients in the latest round of Community Awards that are issued twice a year by Progressive Building Society.
The Sanctuary was founded in 1995 to provide rescue and long-term care for abused, neglected and unwanted animals.
Assisi said it will use its £500 award money to help offset the rise in costs that follows the Christmas and New Year period, when puppies, in particular, tend to fall into the ‘unwanted present' category.
